This month I really loved being able to easily access anything in the city. It felt refreshing to be able to walk out for dessert or grab drinks on a whim (without worrying who the designated driver is!). This is such a novelty for me as I lived in Markham for probably 15 years, where going anywhere required driving.

Honestly a brunch like no other! The most expensive meal of my life costing at $180 CAD for non-alcoholic and $214 CAD for alcoholic per person. But definitely well worth it for the experience as it is a must-do activity in Dubai. Brunch on Fridays in particular are most infamous and keyed as ‘Champagne Brunch’ because weekends in UAE (and Middle East?) start after Thursday’s work day – so the drinking starts early by Friday morning!

Adrienne brought me out to Colette Grand Cafe for a brunch buffet in celebration for my 24th birthday. Colette is a french cuisine restaurant and bakery which just started offering brunch on Sundays as of September 2014. The pictures of the interior as well as the food on their website got me sold even though the brunch does come at a hefty price of $50 per adult. And it really is quite beautiful in person too!
